It is absolutely important to understand that the heart of congregation life is missional. We, as the body of Christ
worldwide or the local congregation, do not have a mission; we are the mission! Our whole existence lies in the mission
to live a life that will reveal the Father’s love to the world! The Father created the world to be His family and it is
our responsibility to bring the good news to a dying world. As believers, we are the mirrors to the world for them to
see and understand the heart of the Father. The command to disciple the world was the only command that was given after
the resurrection of Christ. We have no command to “plant” congregations; our only command was to disciple the world.
It is therefore of absolute importance that we clearly understand the heart of the gospel in order to be a true
reflection of our Father. The success of congregation life does not begin by the implementation of a new congregation
model, but by being driven by God’s love for His creation. The secret of successful congregation life does not lie in
models and structures, but in the identity of the congregation as the body of Jesus Christ. We are identity and love
driven and not by visions and leaders. It is the love of God that constrains us to go and be what we are. Here is some
material to help you understand the gospel better.
